Civil Engineering is a Professional engineering discipline and it is the Mother branch of Engineering that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works such as bridges, roads, canals, dams and buildings. It is traditionally broken into several sub-disciplines including Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Surveying, and Construction Engineering.

The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 2009. The Department offers a four-year UG course leading to B.Tech. Overall intake for B.Tech is 30. The department organizes various seminars, workshops, industrial training to the students to create awareness on real time works. The department creates a platform for faculties and students to come together and think innovatively and move with their research.
